Creating Technical Packets

Technical packets are essential in the fashion industry because it contains all the information to construct a garment. This is what the technical packet looks like.  

Tech packs include:
- Technical sketch of the garment
-Garment style number and descriptive name
-Information on shape of the garments silhouette, body length, sleeve length, neck shape dimensions, armhole type, and hem shape. 
- Information on how the neck edge, cuff or armhole edge, bottom hem edge and possible vent edges are finished.
-Information if the garment has an inside lining or not.
-Information if the garment contains multiple fabric types, a back neck patch, foiled fabric, printed fabric, or if there are embellishments or embroideries on the garment.
-Bill of materials which includes the fabric the garment is made of, the placement of it, the fiber content, width of fabric to cut into, fabric weight, fabric color, and fabric price.
-Swatch of fabric
-How much it cost to make the garment.

-Garments pattern pieces laid out on the cuttable fabric width.
